Friendly reminder: Tea Party Patriots’ Jenny Beth Martin refused to help Dave Brat   June 10, 2014

In one of the biggest political upsets in modern American history, little-known economics professor Dave Brat defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor Tuesday, despite being outspent 14 to 1 in the closing days of the campaign.

Brat did this without any help from Tea Party Patriots’ Jenny Beth Martin, who told Laura Ingraham that she was too busy to personally vet Dave Brat…

Laura: Why are you guys not supporting Dave Brat against Eric Cantor?

Martin: I have not met Dave Brat yet.

Martin’s Tea Party Patriots takes in millions in donations, most of which is spent on “consultants”.

Sounds reasonable, right? Except that she’s the consultant!

She sets her own $15,000 monthly fee for strategic consulting — payments that have totaled $120,000 since July.

She also draws a salary as president of the Tea Party Patriots’ nonprofit arm — getting more than $272,000 in the 2012 fiscal year, according to the group’s most recent tax filing.

Her twin salaries put her on track to make more than $450,000 this year, a dramatic change in lifestyle for the tea party activist, who had filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and then cleaned homes for a period of time.

Only a tiny fraction of donations are spent on helping candidates like Dave Brat and Matt Bevin…

Martin vowed the group would be “putting our money where our mouth is.”

So far, its super PAC has mustered just $56,000 worth of mailers in Kentucky on Bevin’s behalf — less than half the amount it has paid Martin in consulting fees since July.

For the purposes of not getting sued, I am NOT alleging that Jenny Beth Martin pocketed the money to buy herself a new Mercedes or something equally egregious.

I’m just saying…

Neocon Laura Ingraham is totally retarded
