Trump told Chuck Todd on Meet The Depressed Sunday that he was inclined to seek revenge on some of his 2016 rivals:
Yeah, I’ll probably do a super PAC…Kasich, for $10 million to $20 million, against Ted Cruz. And maybe one other person that I’m thinking about…but I won’t tell you that…he’s actually such a small person– I hate to give him the publicity.
So, here are his criteria:
- “Him” (rules out Carly Fiorina and Susana Martinez).
- “Small” (rules out Ben Sasse, Mike Lee, and Ken Cuckinelli).
- Grouped w/ Cruz and Kasich.
In my mind, there are only 2 possibilities.
- Marco Rubio
Rubio repeatedly hedged on honoring the pledge– but begrudgingly endorsed Trump at #RNCinCLE, kinda sorta:
Unlike Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump is committed to cut taxes, curb spending and get our national debt under control…It’s time to win in November.
- Rand Paul
Rand never wavered on the pledge to support the GOP nominee, but he declined to attend #RNCinCLE, and has refused to help Trump make inroads w/ libertarians and young voters.
